Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults (RCIA)

This is a team oriented ministry of evangelization of catechesis
which aims to fulfill the directives of the Second Vatian Council
for the initiation of adults into the Roman Catholic faith. The
ministry consists of a team of parishioners, as well as sponsors
and additional parish support personnel.

Those invited to participate include those who with to become
Roman Catholic, those interested in learning more about the
Catholic faith but have no intention of conversion, and those who
are now Roman Catholic and seek an increased understanding or
updating of their faith.

Sessions involve faith sharing with respect for the traditions
brought by participants, formal catechesis, and liturgical
celebration. Participation as an inquirer, team member, or sponsor
is open to all with no prior training or knowledge require. The
process is offered without cost to the participant.

New sessions start in September, and meetings are held once a
week in the evening at Sacred Heart school building.
