Parents of returning children will be required to review previously submitted forms to update information and renew medical form authorization.

This is intended to save returning parents from recompleting all the forms but protect our children by keeping all information up to date and accurate.

Sacramental Preparation

RCIA for Children: Youth who are un baptized (or who were baptized in another faith tradition or perhaps as a Catholic but did not receive further Catholic upbringing) and come to the Faith Formation Program will be placed with their peers for Faith Formation classes and then receive additional formation through the RCIA for Children. This allows them to have the Peer level contact and formation but also a forum with other youth who have similar questions about faith the Church. Those who are un baptized are received into the Church (typically) at the Easter Vigil through Baptism, Confirmation and Communion after around two years of formation. The formation of those who have been baptized is taken on a case by case basis.

First Reconciliation: Prepares youth for their first encounter with the Sacrament of Forgiveness or Penance/Confession. This
typically takes place in second grade. A full year of participation in the Faith Formation prior to the Sacrament is required.

First Holy Communion: Formally prepares children to celebrate this sacrament. Typically in Grade 3 given that they have
received the Sacrament of Penance. Preparation for First Penance and First Communion involves parent
participation that is separate from classroom curriculum

Confirmation: Typically in grade 8. Candidates are formally prepared to celebrate this sacrament by attending formal catechesis
and by participating in special activities such as retreats and service hours. Please see the, "Confirmation" tab on the Faith Formation section of the website for more information.
